Welcome to ASX Stag Party!
Wondering what the hell I am talking about?
ASX Stag Party is a website dedicated to reviewing and recommending new stocks as they list on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). A great many of these stocks are lemons, so a great deal of critical thinking will be applied to find the cherries.
Why stag party? Well stag profits refers to the profits that you can make on new listings, often referred to as Initial Public Offerings or simply as 'IPOs'. Party refers to the celebrations that you will be invited to if you have shares in one of our winning stocks. Sorry, we don't celebrate losses.
I hope you like the site.

It has been some time since I have taken a look at some new ASX listings, so I intend to do that. There are a number of things to appreciate about new listings:
1. They involve dissolution with the prospect of adding value in future through spending money. If the spending does not yield value, your wealth will shrink.
2. Listings are often subject to manipulation because shares are priced at the margin, and there is a 'subjective' psychology to trading which brokers take advantage of. i.e. Really, its a form of extortion that you can benefit from if you know what you are doing. You need to be on the right side of the information disparity, whilst avoiding insider trading. Ultimately it is desirable to understand something about mining, exploration and geology. This is why I wrote the book '
Mining Fundamentals.
3. They are often overvalued during times of booms, as they attract a great deal of support upon listing from institutional investors. This support is sometimes justified by the prospect of a free option, or the prospect of positive results from forthcoming drilling, but in fact established explorers often provide better value. For these reasons, these stocks are often just good ones to place on a watch list. Some however are not yet fully valued.
The stocks which we will be reviewing over the next few weeks include the following;
